Summary:
This is the MaX5 Race car run by Paul Sheard for the last 3 years in the championship. It has been a successful car with many race wins to its credit.
Engine:
MaX5 cars must not run modified engines. The regulations are stictly governed to ensure this is the case. Permitted changes allow the cylinder head to be skimmed and timing is free.
Exterior:
The car currently runs on Spax race shocks, as is standard for the series. These are adustable both for bump and rebound. In the past AVO shocks were used to similar effect. Toyo T1-R control tyres are used which are buffed to 4mm to provide extra stability. These tyres are also very good for your road car.
Interior:
Well, there isn't much left! The roll cage really stiffens the chassis and provides excellent protection, even from the sides. There is a race seat, 6 point harness, some carbon fibre to fill in the gaps and an
Alfano data logger that records engine revs, speed, gear and position on track.
