Double for Paul in the MX5 Cup at Snetterton

The first two rounds of the Ma5da Racing MX5 Cup for the Mk3 car took place at Snetterton over the weekend of 24 and 25 April with Paul taking two wins.

The qualifying session and races were combined with the Caterham  AllComers races and also a number of Mk1 MX5’s and with 5 MK3’s on the grid this made a good start to the research and development series for the car.

Paul and his team had been building one of the cars right up to the Friday evening before the meeting commenced so the victories were even sweeter.

For the first time out the cars are very evenly matched and in both races the lead changed hands on many occasions before Paul finally broke away to secure two well deserved wins.

Further work will now take place using the data gained this weekend to improve the car and the rest of his team in readiness for the next two rounds at Rockingham on 29 May.
